Used PET polymerisation plant consisting of two lines for the production of PET chips. The plant was built in 1996 using John Brown Deutsche Engineering technology and was mothballed in 2024.
The approximate capacity of each line is 220 to 240 tonnes per day (nameplate capacity 180 tonnes per day).
Line D:
PTA powder and MEG, along with recycled EG, are mixed in a paste tank. This then undergoes two stages of esterification to produce monomer. The monomer is converted to polymer in a two-stage polycondensation process.
The polymer melt is then divided into two lines: one line goes to a 180 TPD granulation system to make PET chips.
Line E:
PTA powder and MEG, along with recycled EG, are mixed in a paste tank. This then undergoes two stages of esterification to produce monomer. The monomer is converted to polymer in a two-stage polycondensation process.
The polymer melt is then divided into two lines: one line goes to a 180 TPD granulation system to make PET chips.
