Description

Little used APV Pasilac Thermovac 316L polished stainless steel vacuum reactor filter dryer. Features an approximately 600mm diameter filter plate with a 0.25 square metre filtration area. Body measures approximately 600mm diameter by 1390mm straight side, with a 300 litre working capacity and 150 litre cake capacity. Internally rated for full vacuum / 6 bar design pressure at -20°C / +150°C. Contains a 316L stainless steel jacket rated for full vacuum / 6 bar design pressure at -20°C / +150°C. Equipped with two 2-blade agitators driven by a Common Flender Hydrex HMS345 multiple cylinder rotary hydraulic drive rated 0-170 rpm. Top sidewall scraping agitator used for mixing, reacting, coating, and drying, plus discharge of dried material when the body is inverted or semi-inverted. Maximum rotation of 240 degrees from vertical with a bottom full-width angled paddle agitator having a 300mm stroke, used for smoothing and compacting filter cake as well as ploughing out during the discharge phase. Includes a Burgmann flushed mechanical seal. Hydraulic power supplied by a 30 kW hydraulic power pack. Mounted on a frame with controls. Manufactured in 1988 and commissioned with talcum powder and water but never run on the final product.
