Used Pfaudler Balfour approximately 4.64 m² stainless steel wiped film evaporator. Evaporator body approximately 700 mm diameter x 2100 mm straight side. Internal 1460 litre capacity rated for full vacuum/1 bar design pressure at 0–160 °C. Jacket 250 litre capacity rated for full vacuum/6 bar (5 bar with full vacuum) design pressure at 0–160 °C. Rotor belt-driven by a 5.5 kW 415 volt 3-phase 50 Hz 1440 rpm motor via Flender model ZF80A gearbox rated 10.29:1 reduction ratio.
